We very much doubt that we will ever forget James & Holly’s anniversary… especially as it is on the 13th of July which happens to also be my birthday!

So yes, there are so so many reasons why this wedding {AND this whole family!} is so special…

Reminiscing about this day at The Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe is a joy to say the least and we loved that these two chose this venue for a very personal reason.

And honestly, all their choices were timeless, elegant and on point.

From Holly’s glorious yet simplistic Alfred Angelo gown, their minimalist table decor -who needs extravagance when you have the Vic Falls as a background! – to James gallantly strolling around in a Moss Bros UK tuxedo and their black tie dress code for all their guests.

And Zimbabwe in winter… pure bliss with balmy days and starlit nights… it was truly a wedding feast under the African skies…

“You both have formed such a big part of our wedding memories and for that we are so grateful! We spent a lot of time reminiscing on the beautiful photographs you captured, noticing sweet details that we seemed to have missed. That was special! Thank you for making us both feel confident, comfortable and genuinely happy in front of the camera. You guys have a wonderful gift and the moments you captured are irreplaceable.”

Holly seriously owned the morning of her wedding and spent it with “her girls” drinking champagne at The Victoria Falls Hotel pool. Cascading bougainvillea, sparkling teal water, a crazy amount of giggles and all while wearing the funkiest monkey and palm pj’s and just having a relaxed morning, soaking up the sun and savouring everything the day had in store for them…

We of course also had to ask Holly if she would share why she and James specifically chose The Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe:

“We married at The Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe. It was a childhood dream of mine to get married on the lush lawns of the Victoria Falls Hotel. We wanted to combine our love for nature and the bush, with the classy affair that we believe a wedding should be.
No venue screams ‘colonial safari’ the way The Victoria Falls Hotel does. Everything from the architecture, the décor, the beautiful views and the scurrying warthogs were what we had imagined for our big day. My grandfather played a very significant role in my life. During the last few days of his life, I expressed to him how it was my dream to marry James on the lawns of the Victoria Falls Hotel (we had spent his 80th birthday there a few years prior to this).”
