The Tale of Ponderosa… a stranded siren…

The tale of Ponderosa… a stranded siren…

She was art… always… ever since I can remember seeing her at the water’s edge…Every twist, every turn, every freckle, every laugh and frown. Piercing blue eyes… pieces of art. Ponderosa had an inherent laughter in her soul…she possessed the ability to make even the waters around her twirl and dance…But as the seasons changed the oceans became angry and a lonely siren found shelter in the other waters of the earth…
As this enchanted creature fell into the clutches of quiet longing, Ponderosa felt the life of a silent wanderer tugging at her hem and she stayed and she wandered… through ponds and dams to rivers and creeks where she chose the quiet spaces. As time passed wanderlust consumed her and finding new waters compelled her…she no longer needed the salty kiss of Poseidon’s breath or the raging storms of his passing…
She found tender moments where the sun warmed her cheek and the summer winds dried her hair…she glittered gently as even the darkest water could not hide her golden armour… little flecks of gold danced on her shoulder and curved to her neck…

As Ponderosa strayed she found solace in unexpected places… It was her scars that made her unique and led us to the paths she once wandered.
In some places she found the world to be gentle and kind… in others she chose to flee the cruelty. She brought out the howling winds and the storm in people as she knew that in every turmoil lied a truth. A truth carved in water and as fluid and fleeting as the love you felt yesterday. Ponderosa did not know the future but she knew the pinnacle of pain and the freedom felt the moment it was left behind… she embraced the streams and the running waters of the earth and Ponderosa smiled as her heart no longer yearned for the sea or the violent winds of her youth…

When you see her you will know you have found Ponderosa… a stranded siren…
