Inspired by the old French monasteries and playing of the unique buildings of Francine’s Venue we went about to create a story and some fine art photos with unique French charm and a monastic almost sacred feel to them…
We had an incredible clear vision for our love story and therefore gathered the best creatives in the business to help breathe life into our tale of Natalya & Dorian’s secret elopement and this is part one of their story…
We really wanted the shoot to be authentic and to truly reflect this tale… from the Bordeaux red wine blend to the buttoinaire and bouquet Natalya made for herself and Dorian from flowers and herbs found in the monasteries garden…
For our tablescape hand torn place cards from Deerly studio were the perfect touch and lightly wrinkled linen helped carry through our vision that it was all gathered unexpectedly and in haste…
The letter from our Dorian contained exquisite artisan jewellery pieces from Marion Rehwinkel and we cannot thank Jana from Silver Swallow Design enough… not only did she design the dresses and veils used for the shoot but she also agreed to be our muse, Natalya for this very special heart-project.
Now let us tell our story…
“As a young woman spends her days in an old French Monastery set at the bottom of a mountain a letter from her lover arrives… a proposal to join him in marriage that afternoon at sunset.
Dreaming about their secret nuptials Natalya sits down amongst the candles and as she writes her response the excitement builds leaving a pile of pages fluttering to the floor as she starts to collect trinkets for the very special moment… candles and earrings, veiling and wine. She sets a table for two outside, break bread and cheese, open a bottle of rich, red French wine.
She gathers herbs and wild flowers from the monastery garden to fashion a bouquet…”
